Organizations that qualify for the Community Matters More ballot must meet the following criteria. Therefore, all write-in candidates must meet the same criteria to be eligible:
- Registered as a 501(c)(3)
- Organization’s program(s) is open to all (secular)
- Maine-based or with operating offices in Maine
- The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation reserves the right to verify and/or reject ballots and nonprofit eligibility
- Public and/or private schools are not eligible
